When you are in service to others, you are doing some of your finest soul work. Service can look like so many things to so many people!
Typically service is seen as the act of helping others in some respect. You can help one person or a group of people! If you choose to think of it in this way then the opportunities for helping others in some respect is endless! It can take the form of simply saying a kind word to someone or it can be as elaborate as donating a big bunch of money to a worthy cause. Or perhaps did I say that backwards? Is the elaborate piece of service really the act of saying the kind word and the simple act is to donate money or time to a worthy cause?
Think about how you feel when you get a compliment on something you’ve said or done or even on your appearance? Is it uplifting? Do you smile and carry it in your heart for the whole day? Do you think back on the comment whether it was verbal, written or physical, like getting a big hug from someone during the week…just because…and feel great about it? THAT is big in my book? That is an act of service that raises the vibration of world consciousness! What if every person in the world chose to do this SIMPLE act of service on the same day? What would be the result? So simple, elaborate and profound!
Let’s pick a date and make it happen! Send this blog to a friend, and ask them to pass it on. How about tweeting it and posting it on Facebook? Use my name or don’t use my name…let’s just make it happen!
Let’s choose the date of July 20 and call it “A Simple Day Of Gratitude.” One kind act of service to someone in your family, a neighbor, a stranger, a post sent to a facebook friend in China, Sweden, etc…wherever you choose, let’s do it! Of course if you want to make it smaller or more elaborate the choice is always up to you!
I’m going to be right there with you. Feel free to post any comments or how it made you feel on my Facebook wall here. Let’s raise the vibration!
Thank you so much for your service! Simple soul work being done around the world together on July 20, 2011.
