Operating from your purest intentions is what is necessary for soul growth. That can be tricky at times. Consciously you may think you are operating from your highest intentions, but unconsciously there may still be a hidden motive behind it. When that occurs there is uneasy flow that occurs. What seemed as if it would be effortless turns out to be a major struggle.
How can you tell when you are operating from only your highest good?
Work it out. Ask the right questions of yourself. What is your intention? Why do you want to do it? How will you feel once it is completed? Is there any ego involved in this action, or are you only coming from a place that is sincere, authentic, loving and compassionate?
Answering these questions will quickly give you the answers. If you find you are still coming from your ego state to some extent act as Mother Teresa would have done. She only did good acts for good’s sake. She was kind for the sake of kindness. A smile from someone she helped was the only reward she needed. When there was no smile, she still knew in her heart that compassion was given that day and this was her intention.
As Mother Teresa said:
“I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.”
What will you choose to do this day to follow your highest intentions?
