Coming out of the darkness is difficult for many. There must be a willingness to see the light. You might wonder, “what is the darkness?”
Darkness is when people bury their true feelings and their authentic voice under the disguise of being happy. For many, they feel if they actually acknowledge their true feelings and label them, then they will have to take action. That’s the part that scares people to death.
I have many clients that will sit across from me on the couch and just look at me. They’re studying me as they try to decide, “Should I say my real feelings or wait?” If they decide they are willing to trust me and share their feelings, then the very first shift in their body, mind and soul will begin immediately. Putting your voice to your authentic feelings will mark the path to subtle changes that will take place.
I also feel this same shift when I’m on the phone in a coaching session with a client. There may be a long pause after I ask a question before they decide to take the plunge and respond with how they really feel. When the decision is made, their thoughts and feelings come pouring out as if they have been stuck behind a dam for eternity! I love when that happens! The shift begins!
To get more in touch with your authentic voice, journal on the selections “Trust In The Path,” “Look Ahead,” and “One Step At A Time” from my book “Musings To Help The Soul Remember.” You may find it for purchase at www.newpathwaytohealing.com/products.html.
