Food for thought comes in many courses. The appetizer is served to present some new information on topics and ideas not yet known to you. As you sample each new recipe you are amazed how you have never thought to taste it quite this way before. New thoughts and ideas come from so many places – reading new books, magazines, listening to radio shows, or engaging in conversations with friends. Opportunities are there to open your mind and expand your horizons.
The main course is served to provide the bulk of the substance you need for good nourishment and growth. This becomes your career, your passions, your spiritual life, your relationships, and your hobbies. We must sink our teeth into that which feeds our body, mind, and soul each day in order to grow and feel satisfied.
Dessert is the piece de la resistance! It is that which we don’t need but something we love! It allows us to feel completely satiated and happy with the experience of the entire meal.
What is the dessert for you? What is the final piece that tops it all off for you?
