Being grateful for that which is being dropped into your life is your way of saying thank you for all of God’s gifts. The interesting part of this is that it not only speaks to positives but also those things that you might see as difficult or challenging.
You are thankful for those things as well because you KNOW that spirit has placed them in your life for a purpose. At times the purpose may not be clear to you but always upon reflection whether it is a week later or five years later the answer springs out clearly.
It is when you are in the midst of the emotional, physical, mental or spiritual struggle that you must have the fortitude and strength to say thank you.
“Thank you for dropping this into my life, so I may learn from it.”
“Thank you for giving me the opportunity to look at this, learn from it and do things differently.”
“Thank you for this struggle. It makes me stronger, clearer and I trust that my soul growth is the outward expression of this showing up in my life now.”
Yes, gratitude. It is so easy to take the happy or joyous moments to show thankfulness. But let us not forget that there is a reason for the other less pleasant times in our lives as well. Trusting and showing gratitude for all allows your soul to leap into the next experience of growth.
Have you been able to give thanks for the difficult times as well as the happy periods?
