Today’s post will wet your appetite to meet internationally known author, Carol Bowman who will be my guest on New Pathway To Healing blogtalkradio show tomorrow at 2:30 PM EST. Click Here To Listen! She is absolutely fascinating and an expert in her field of children and past-life regression.
She has appeared on Oprah, ABC Primetime, Good Morning America and many others to speak about her two books, “Children’s Past Lives” and “Return From Heaven” that are classics in the field of reincarnation!
Below you will find some suggestions on ways you can speak to your child about this topic.
Ways To Learn About Your Child’s Past Life:
Ask them to draw a picture of their favorite memory. It can be a person, place or thing. When they’re done, ask them what it is and where they saw it before. You may hear answers you aren’t familiar with. Validate each answer with a nod or simply by saying, “Tell me more about that.” Please refrain from making any comments on their memories.
Perhaps you wake your child up in the morning. Before they get out of bed, ask them what they dreamed. Just as for an adult, if there isn’t a lot of movement or talking memories of dreams can be recalled immediately. If they are speaking of a certain person in their dream, ask what their name is or what they are called. If they are speaking of a certain place, ask what the name of the place is called. Depending on their age, you can ask them what year it is or what country they live in. Practice asking open-ended questions without leading them to a certain response. For example, instead of asking “Are you talking about your Aunt Molly?” ask “How do you know that person?” or “Are you related to them?” or “Do they have a name that you call them?”
Always look interested and try not to show or discount anything they tell you. Please try not to discount their memories by saying, “Oh, that can’t be true” or “No, you must not be remembering it right.”
Accept anything and everything! You may be privy to hearing many more dreams and their stories each morning. Of course they may not have anything to do with a past-life memory, but now you have the opportunity to help explore with your child the meaning of their dreams. This is their subconscious trying to work out any anxieties or fears from the previous week. So a discussion is wonderful for them to release these feelings!
Observe your children playing. Often times when young children are playing with their doll house or creating a battlefield, you’ll hear them talking with their toy figures in different settings. You may actually be hearing snippets from a past-life memory. Young children in particular do not have a filter. They are still very connected with these feelings and can easily get images, thoughts or experiences from the past. Again, you can just listen to your child and file the information away or ask about it in a very casual open-ended manner.
As children get a bit older, they remember their past-lives very easily when I do hypnotherapy with them. I love being able to do hypnotherapy with children because they relax so easily when given the suggestion. Once relaxed, they can access their subconscious to retrieve past-life memories. Again it is most helpful to have worked with their parents as a have a point of reference with family dynamics in this lifetime. Or if you read my previous posts it may be from issues that remained from a last lifetime!
So if your child is having symptoms of severe anxiety, depression, stomachaches, unexplained fears, bedwetting or nightmares, perhaps they are just tapping into a cell memory that has not been healed from a past life. I’d be more than happy to help them with this healing part of their journey. Feel free to contact me at email@example.com.
Be sure and catch my Part 2: Children and Their Past-Life Memories post that is coming this Thursday! Fascinating case studies and more on this topic!!
